How long will treatment take?
Chiropractic care is related to the healing ability of the patient and
results can vary. Some patients detect changes quickly, while others
take longer. We will always keep you informed in regard to your
progress.
What if chiropractic doesn't work for me?
If we are unable to help you, we will help to arrange a referral to
another specialist. We generally refer quickly, so you won't delay any

Will I have to be treated forever?
Not necessarily. Our job is to offer you the very best chiropractic
care, and your responsibility it to decide how much of it your want.
After understanding the basics of wellness care, you will probably
realize the benefits of preventive care in your future.
I've had back
surgery and still hurt! Can I see you?
Absolutely! Naturally, you may be treated somewhat differently because
of your surgery. The areas of your spine that have been surgically
altered will be avoided, and there is no chance of additional damage. We
routinely treat many patients who have unsuccessfully undergone surgery
for their back complaints.
Does treatment hurt?
No. In fact, many patients report that treatment is both comfortable and
effective quickly. People come to us with pain--we're certainly not
going to do something to make it worse.
Is treatment safe?
Yes. We first rule out any contradictions for treatment, prior to any
recommendations. One government study reached a conclusion that
chiropractic manipulations is "remarkably safe". If you consider that
millions of people see chiropractors for their health problems, the
answer is very obvious.
My medical doctor says I shouldn't see a
chiropractor. Why?
Most likely because this doctor is not fully informed of the benefits a
chiropractor can provide you. Not only do we receive referrals directly
from our medical community, we also treat several medical physicians.
The days of medical doctors and chiropractors not agreeing with each
other are for the most part, ancient history. We work with medical
doctors on a daily basis.
I'm interested in acupuncture, but I hate
needles. What can you do for me?
First of all, relax. We do not use needles, so there is little to worry
about. The acupuncture point is stimulated by a painless electrical
stimulus, and you will receive the same benefit, without the use of
needles.
Will my insurance cover chiropractic?
Yes. Many policies routinely cover our services; also, Medicare allows
for chiropractic visits. If you've had an accident, most accident
policies and workers compensation insurance cover our services. We are
members of dozens of HMO's and PPO's, we are most likely on your
provider list of doctors. |
